November 27th Human Trafficking Symposium

8.11.2007

Trafficking in persons is an atrocious violation of human rights that no country is free from. An issue this serious needs to be addressed from every possible angle; furthering education on trafficking in persons is a crucial step in the process of eliminating this brutal crime.

For this reason, The Protection Project at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies would like to invite you to attend the Second Annual Protection Project Symposium hosted on November 27th,

2007:

"Incorporating Trafficking in Persons into Human Rights Curricula in Universities in the United States and Abroad".

Scholars from the United States and abroad will be gathered together to discuss how trafficking in persons can be integrated in to human rights courses at college and university levels. To assess how trafficking in persons is currently being covered, we surveyed universities with human rights programs. Along with panel discussions, we will be presenting the findings of this survey regarding trafficking in persons and human rights courses.

The symposium will be held from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on November 27th at the Kenny Auditorium in the Nitze Building, 1740 Massachusetts Ave, NW, Washington, DC, 20036.
