ELENA International Course on refugee law
ECRE is pleased to announce the forthcoming ELENA International Course on the Law of Refugee Status, Subsidiary Protection and Non-Refoulement, to be held from 6-9 September 2007 in Budapest, Hungary.

The course will examine refugee law in relation to current jurisprudence and asylum developments in Europe, including the impact of the recently adopted EC Qualification Directive. It will be dedicated to the study of the main articles of the 1951 Geneva Convention relating to the status of refugees and relevant human rights treaties. The course will be presented by Professor James Hathaway and Alice Edwards. It will be conducted in English.
The course is aimed at legal counsellors, lawyers and other practitioners from across Europe who represent refugees and asylum seekers or who otherwise work in this field.
It is expected that this course will be over-subscribed and places are limited, so please urge those interested to register as soon as possible. Closing date for registrations is 13 July 2007.
