June 19th 2010 - Womens' Rights Day

In celebration of June 19th, which is Women's Rights Day, The Icelandic Women's Rights Association will host an event at Reykjavík City Hall's Tjarnarsalur. The event, which is held in collaboration with Skotturnar - the sponsors of the Women's Day Off 2010, will commence at 4pm on Saturday, June 19th.

Programme

· IWRA Chair person Margrét Sverrisdóttir addresses and welcomes the gathering

· Guðrún Jónsdóttir from Stígamót introduces Skotturnar and Women's Day off 2010

· Two magazines, 19. júní and Húsfreyjan will be introduced

· Kristín Þóra Harðardóttir, Chair person of Women's Culture and Rememberance fund, will present this year's awards 

· Margrét Rögnvaldsdóttir from the Icelandic Soroptomists will present the winner of Skotturnar's logo competition

· Reception
